The Mahane Yehudah Market in Jerusalem, commonly referred to as The Shuk, was established at the end of the 19th Century to serve the residents who lived outside of the Old City. Even though the Shuk is busy all week on Fridays it is wall-to-wall people as Jerusalem prepares for the Sabbath.
