The Enot Tsukim Nature Reserve, at the northern end of the Dead Sea, is home to the lowest fresh water springs in the world at 419 meters (1375 feet) below sea level. With its high saline content the water of the Dead Sea acts as a foundation for the fresh spring water which floats on its surface allowing for the growth of numerous types of vegetation that surround the springs.
