DARK CLOUDS ON THE HORIZON
In the evening before the 9th day of the month of Av in the Hebrew calendar, clouds began to form on the horizon and worked their way towards Jerusalem’s Old City. Seeing clouds in the summer in Israel is a rare enough event, but dark clouds approaching the site upon which the First and Second Temples stood, on the eve of the day that marks their destruction, is a very poignant reminder of the events that took place at that very spot.
