Krakow, like most European cities, has a bridge decorated with locks of lovers. In Krakow it is the bridge that connects Kazimierz (the Jewish district) and Podgorze (the former Jewish Ghetto).

When the love departs so must the lock. Ripping the lock from the fence and leaving the links broken is a visual reminder of what wasn’t meant to be.
