With what might be a world’s first, Israel’s Caesarea Golf Club hosted the completion of the writing of a Sefer Torah. The finished Torah was than ceremoniously carried along the fairways accompanied by a train of golf carts, klezmer music and dancing on the fairways as it made its way to the local Chabad House.

Spirits were high, scores were low. What else could you ask for on the day following Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.

  1. What a great way to begin the new year. Shana Tova to you both.
